Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are highly motivated to learn new concepts and engage in our classroom discussion on a daily basis. I strive each day to bring hands-on activities and thought evoking questions to engage them in the learning process. They are a wonderful group of kids and love to discover the beautiful world surrounding them.

My kids are talented, motivated and sassy, and I am lucky enough to teach and learn from them every day!

My kids don't skip a beat so I can't waste a moment of classroom learning time either. Learning is fun and inspiring, and I get to watch my kids grow and learn each and every day!

My Project

My students are very excited to be exploring electricity and magnetism for their first unit in 6th grade Science class. I plan to engage them and teach them about parallel and series circuits using real circuits. Our goal is to make the students aware of how electricity works and then expand their knowledge on applications of electricity and magnetism. Showing them new electrical cars will really inspire them and get them committed to becoming 'green citizens' with the know-how to power a more greener future for all of us.

Among my amazing students are 6 students on the Autism Spectrum which I want to make the most inclusive environment for them by having stability discs that will help them with their heightened motor and sensory needs.

Thank you for taking the time to make the future brighter for these kids; they truly deserve it.
