Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year, I would like my students to be able to achieve success in taking the final test. My biggest challenge in getting them there is the lack of laptops / computers in the school.

We are a Title One school and most of our kids do not have the things that the State is requiring them to have, for example a way to practice doing test on the computers.

How can students be able to do this on the computer when some of them don't even have money for food. I have several classes of students and in each class I have 10 students that are not in a position to buy things that are required of them to pass the grade.Purchasing at least one laptop is not enough but it is something for these kids.

My Project

My students will be able to work on the laptop to do homework and projects. They will be able to learn how to type, research information, write essays and to do power points. They will be able to print their work. They will feel that they can succeed in life. In doing these things they will learn that there is a big world out there and that if you have the equipment things can happen.

This donation will help my classroom by allowing my students to feel that they can do things.

This way they will have a fighting chance to succeed. It will give them a sense of being a part of something bigger and it would assure them that there are people that are willing to lend a helping hand.
