Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I have an amazing class of 21 first graders this year. It is a two-way dual language class and they LOVE to learn in English and Spanish. We are a family of diverse learners and the students love and respect one another.
They are so unique, energetic and lively that they make teaching every lesson so much fun!
Every child in my classroom has such a fun and individual personality that I could spend hours telling stories about each and every one of them!
My Project
My students love to come to school and learn as much as they can about the every subject (both academic and social). It can be extremely difficult to find resources in Spanish that are relevant. Oftentimes I have to make my own materials or buy them from Teachers Pay Teachers and it makes it extremely difficult to print books, centers, and labels for the classroom throughout the year. The ink in this project will help my grade level and I make sure we have student take-home booklets and fun and interactive centers in English and Spanish all year long.
My students deserve resources in English and Spanish to help them reach biliteracy.
The book bins in this project will help organize the take home booklets and the books in our library by language, reading level, and/or topic. This ensures my students will always have the reading materials they need on hand.
