Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

These kids are high energy and ready to learn. Many of them are quick to pick up the new topics and think ahead to the next level. These kids are pushing the boundaries of 6th grade level math and some are presenting topics well above grade level. They need the extra push to keep that enthusiasm and desire to learn. They also come from high-need areas without ready access to technology. Other students are struggling to keep up mathematically and need addition resources to get up to grade level.

My Project

Remote learning is difficult for everyone. Students teachers, and parents. For teachers, the single screen laptop makes grading and lesson planning for remote learning exceptionally difficult. Trying to keep the video up, the lesson being presented and making sure the students are getting the work written down on their devices isn't even a two screen job, but two will do much better than one.

Having a second screen allows teachers to do the mandatory multitasking that remote teaching requires.

It is a game changer that all teachers should have, and not just in this COVID era teaching, but always. This is just the start of helping teachers reduce the amount of time they spend going back and forth between website after website to make better lesson and letting them see it on one screen while making high quality lessons on their other.
