4th grade combined Regular/Special Education Classroom in a high-need community needs two new rugs.

I have 24 students in my classroom. These students are of various shapes and sizes. I now have a rug that is very old and too small for everyone to be included on the rug during lesson time. Some students feel left out since they have to sit on the tile floor/chairs as they do not fit on the rug. The rug has rips and tears, has been moved from classroom to classroom, and has been in the school for many years. I am sure you can imagine the germs that this rug has accumulated even with all the vacuuming and maintenance.

I desperately need two new rugs! The large rug will benefit my students during lesson time so that everyone is included and feels equal in the classroom. It will give my students their own personal space as well as create community within the classroom. The students will benefit from the 6'9' rug as it will create another area for them to read during Reading Workshop time. It will give my classroom a more warm and cozy feeling. Both rugs will benefit my students hygienically as it will be a more germ-free and clean environment.

Your help will ensure that my students will have an optimal learning environment with these two new rugs. They will feel at home and everyone will be included during rug time. The new rugs will also ensure for a clean and comfortable environment. Please donate to my classroom!
