My Students

The best part about 6th graders is how excited they get about Science! Most of the students did not have Science in 5th grade, so the opportunity to manipulate, experiment and transform things into working objects is a dream come true to them.

I am teaching our future engineers, scientists and mathematicians; these students are capable of going above and beyond what even I could imagine.

But those not all those goals come from their imagination, they come from heros!

My Project

My classroom was fortunate enough to have a TV donated to our classroom. Unfortunately we do not have cable but through apple TV, the students can stay updated on CNN student news, NASA and other animal planet shows.

I show a lot of videos in class, I would love to use my TV to show those video’s and reflection questions on the board, instead of swapping back and forth.

Also, one of my goals is to utilize classroom time to the highest extent, therefore using the TV, I can set it up as a timer while still showing directions on the smart board. These are some of the ideas I have had for using a TV in my classroom for a while, just have never had the opportunity. 😊
