My Students

My students love to create and are very imaginative. I can supply them with a project outline, and there are always those students who push it to the next level by doing something extra, or asking if a particular task can be done. They really go above and beyond with their hands on creativity! Students are eager to help each other out which is why a group project like this will be very rewarding for both my students and myself

My Project

I am starting an art class called the “trashion show” which encourages students to use recycled materials to create dresses, articles of clothing and fashion accessories. Students will model their designs in a fashion show, while promoting recycling as an important part of our daily lives. This project also encourages students to work together in a team to plan a design from start to finish. We will also take a trip to the recycle center to gather some loose materials. Students will also be encouraged to get their fellow classmates to donate items that could be used in a creative way!
