My Project

The items we’re requesting—such as engaging books across diverse genres, literacy tools, and comfortable reading spaces—will spark curiosity and foster a love for reading. By providing books that reflect my students’ interests, cultures, and aspirations, they’ll see themselves in stories and expand their understanding of the world. Tools like reading organizers or comprehension guides will help students develop critical thinking and analytical skills, transforming reading from a task into a journey of discovery.

The primary goal of this project is to build a strong reading culture where students not only improve their literacy skills but also develop a lifelong passion for learning.

We aim to increase reading comprehension scores, boost students' confidence in sharing ideas, and create opportunities for collaborative discussions. Ultimately, we want to empower them with the tools to succeed academically and personally through the power of storytelling and knowledge.

My students are a unique and vibrant group of learners who bring a diversity of experiences, ideas, and dreams to the classroom. Despite facing challenges, they show remarkable resilience and enthusiasm for learning. Each student has a unique voice, and they thrive when given opportunities to express themselves and connect with the material. Their creativity, curiosity, and potential inspire me every day, and I want to provide them with the resources they deserve to reach new heights.
