This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are eager to learn and fiercely resilient when faced with the constant budgetary obstacles that plague our district. There is no question that they deserve access to basic materials and supplies. In a middle school science classroom, this looks like a room equipped with necessities for “doing science”- i.e. laboratory glassware and triple beam balances, safety goggles, and various manipulatives used to demonstrate concepts such as force and motion. By using lesson planning resources from Teachers pay Teachers and Science World magazine, I aim to provide students with authentic learning experiences as well as exposure to current events in STEM.
