My Project

At our school, we believe in maximizing resources and finding creative ways to inspire and motivate our students. Recently a number of our dated MacBook laptops have reached the end of their life in terms of software updates. While these devices can no longer maintain a secure network or run the latest operating systems, they are still fully functional and ripe for a second life!

With your support, we aim to transform these old laptops into gaming consoles that our students can use as incentives for positive behavior, academic achievement, and other milestones.

By repurposing these devices, we’ll not only provide a fun and engaging reward system but also reinforce the value of sustainability and resourcefulness.

To bring this vision to life, we need:

Jump Drives: These will allow us to install lightweight gaming operating systems onto the laptops, turning them into consoles without compromising their limited storage.

Gaming Controllers: Having controllers will make gameplay more immersive and engaging for students, enhancing their overall experience.

This initiative will provide a fun, interactive reward system for students who excel in academics, demonstrate positive behavior, or contribute to our school community. By offering gaming as an incentive, we hope to foster motivation, teamwork, and healthy competition.

Additionally, this project supports sustainability by breathing new life into technology that might otherwise go unused. Students will also learn valuable lessons about repurposing resources and making the most of what they have.
