This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are special...they live in the south Bronx is the poorest neighborhood, yet they walk in with heads high in uniforms ready to start the day. Here at PS62 we try and allow are students to feel right at home. Although many students do not have all tge supplies necessary we try to accomodate as many as possible. This year I hope the trout in the classroom will help foster the love for the environment, because we need more supplies to make our tank a happy home for our fish.

My Project

All of the materials that I have requested will allow my students to continue to clean, support, and enhance their understanding of the water system by producing a safe tank for our trout in the classroom tank. By giving students the chance to support and release these trout, they gain a better understanding of the water cycle and the importance of how water affects their own daily lives. Without it they will be denied the chance to potential change the world! Remember these students hold the future in their hands, maybe they can develop a new system to keep our warer clean.
