My Project

My school’s new Literacy & Language program by Amplify CKLA has a unit of study that focuses on the American Revolution, in particular, the causes of the war itself.

This unit specifically addresses the famous American historical event of the Boston Tea Party.

We will use the book titled, "What was the Boston Tea Party?" as a supplement to enhance the unit study on this historical event.

After learning about the Boston Tea Party, as a culminating activity, each fourth grade classroom is going to write a Reader’s Theater version of the Boston Tea Party and perform a reenactment of this event actually partaking in drinking hot tea, a significant cultural practice for colonial Americans prefacing the Boston Tea Party.

The opportunity to have such a culminating activity as a reenactment and the serving of tea enhances learning for students, and certainly engages them. We are grateful to any individual(s) choosing to support our endeavor.
