Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a comprehensive high school servicing over 1,450 students predominantly from the city of Hialeah, city of Opa Locka, and town of Miami Lakes.

Over 75% of students attending our school receive free or reduced-price lunch, making our school a Title I school.

We offer different magnet programs, extracurricular activities and clubs, and a variety of sports for all our students. We also have an exceptional student education department offering a range of services to our students with disabilities.

My Project

The goal of this new state-of-the-art e-sports/gaming room is to engage low-income students and expose them to technology that might not be available at home. The room will be design as a safe space for all students. With the VR sets teachers from different subjects may be able to rotate through the room to engage with students in STEM activities outside the scope of the regular classroom.

The VR sets will be used for gaming and science experiments.

The TV will be installed on the wall for students to engage in gaming and other activities.
