Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every morning we start our day off with a chant. "We're going to college. We've got the knowledge. And here we are starting. In Pre-Kindergarten" I want to give my class as many opportunities this year visit new places, and learn new skills to better prepare them for college.

Pre-kindergarteners are always full of energy.

They like to move and be active. Field trips are a great way to get out of the school for a bit and use that energy to learn about new things! This year there are 21 Pre-Kindergarten children in my class. Though all of my students are on free or reduced lunch, they still come to school with a yearning to learn! My students love to try new things, but for financial reasons, they don't always have the opportunity to experience all that Houston has to offer. This year I would really love to take advantage of the learning opportunities our city has for children.

My Project

This project is for admittance and transportation the the Children's Museum of Houston. Pre-kindergarten students really learn better with hands-on materials. The Children's Museum of Houston, is totally built around exhibits that are hands-on for kids to be able to touch, play with and learn how things work and operate. Taking the students to the Museum would be exciting and would really help the students learn how science and the world around them works.The museum offers 14 kid friendly hands on experiences for the children to go through.

Giving my students the opportunity to experience the Children's Museum, will help open their eyes to the world of science.

With your donation, my students will discover the joy of learning just by exploring all that this museum has to offer!
