My students are resilient, happy children. Though they may not have many materialistic items, most are typical, happy five-year-old students.
My students truly amaze me every day.
Though they may come from a challenging socioeconomic status, they choose to be happy because that is all they know how to do.
I feel so fortunate to be able to serve these students each day. I truly feel that every minute in the classroom is not only beneficial but essential at this age of early learning, especially to the babies who do not have the prior knowledge students in other schools may have.
My Project
This trike will allow my students to enhance their gross motor skills. Students will learn to share and take turns. Students will learn about trike safety as they practice pedaling and stopping. Trikes will be used during recess and free play.
It is important for students to have the opportunity to move around.
Many students do not have the opportunity to have a safe space to play and grow. Having this resource to use and play with outside will afford many students that opportunity for safe play. This project will be a fun way to grow and learn with each other.
