My Project

I teach in a small town north of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. I have 24, inquisitive, fourth grade students, currently sitting at long tables throughout the day.

I want my students to be more collaborative, and to be able to share their ideas with each other in an interactive learning environment.

My Donors Choose project is to acquire triangular collaborative desks so that students can manipulate the desks in a way that helps them communicate better with each other. This will motivate students to have deeper discussions with their small group, and encourage the sharing of ideas more freely.

These triangular desks can be grouped in a variety of ways, all serving the purpose of enhancing collaboration, building community, and improving teacher-student interactions.
