My students need 20 3-packs of project display boards.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Pappas's classroom raised $418
This project is fully funded
My school is a 40-year-old neighborhood school with approximately 1200 students, and is growing each year. It consists of grades 6-8 utilizing 3 main buildings and 12 portable classrooms. We have over 80 classroom teachers and over 30 support staff and faculty.
I teach 6th grade math to a total of 100 students, so having materials for projects is important. The students that come to us are at risk of joining gangs, becoming drop-outs, and failing to succeed in life. I only wish to help change that outcome.
The team of teachers I work with have created an interdisciplinary project for the students to work on. They are expected to present all aspects of their research through a presentation on a tri-fold board. They are working in groups researching a particular country and all the data that comes with that country. Once all the data is analyzed, students will put their information together. Our problem is, we don't have presentation boards for the kids, and the expense is a burden on our families.
We need tri-fold presentation boards! Our 100 students are working in groups, so we only need 60 total. We want all of our students to be successful at this project, and all of the kids having access to equal materials will be one less burden for us teachers and their families.
With your donations, not only are you helping these kids succeed right now, you are opening their eyes to to graciousness of people. Our kids truly appreciate all that is done for them. Please help them be successful now and in their future.
