Treats That Aren't Sweet (for Students With Food Allergies)

Help me give my students non-allergenic rewards. Mechanical pencils, chapstick, hair ties, and small toy animals make great rewards for students with food allergies or health issues.

My Project

My co-teachers and I love to reward our students for extra effort. We do this daily for students who are helpful, kind, persistent, and put forth extra effort in academics. We know that effort matters and it's important to recognize it.

Many of our students have food allergies and/or health issues and cannot have food as a reward.

School supplies, hair ties, and other small items make a healthy reward for all of our students.

Rewarding students can be effective in motivating them to participate in class, complete assignments, and display positive behaviors which can lead to better academic performance.
