My Project

My middle school students are such reflective, thoughtful readers. As they move through middle school, they learn a lot about their own identities as well as the broader world around them. The motto of our humanities magnet is Explore, Connect, Act - and the titles in this collection will encourage them to do just that. They'll explore social justice issues that impact them and their communities, they'll connect their experiences to those of others around the world, and they'll be inspired to act from a place of compassion and courage.
