Transitioning Into Resilience

My Project

The laundry items that are being requested are crucial to the hands-on learning aspect for my Transition (Life Skills) students. The realistic feel and sight for these students would be very accommodatable for their various learning avenues. My goal for this project is to provide hands on learning material to my self-contained Special Education class here at Murphy High School.

I am a new aspiring Transition Teacher who is passionate about giving his kids the best learning experience possible.

Students who receive special education services are allotted an equal learning experience just as a student in the General Education classes. I want to assure the parents and my superiors that I am delivering the best source of knowledge to my students to assist with their Executive Functioning.

Worksheets are important as well when it comes to filling out applications, but these students deserve more basic life skills to become more independent in society once they leave high school.

I am reaching out to the community to assist me in providing these students with a new innovative learning experience while enrolled in special education classes. This is only a piece of the foundation to expanding educational standards and elevating their learning experience while taking classes in the Special Education curriculum. Help me give hope and passion through education back to our children. Transitioning into Resilience!

Mr. West Murphy High School Grades 9-12
