Within my wish list, I chose a variety of different items to help support the needs in my classroom. I was a 1st grade teacher last year and I am transitioning to 2nd grade this year. With that, I am transitioning with many of my same kiddos I had last year. The items that are within my wish list are to help promote learning in my classroom while also meeting the needs of my students in my classroom. One of my bigger items is a class rug. Our school does not provide a rug for the classrooms and I feel that students learn best when they have a spot that is specifically for them only. This encourages students to take ownership of their area and improve their learning skills. I also added flexible seating items on their as well to provide students with different seating arrangements throughout the day- such as independent reading time. I also included laminating pouches, playdoh, glue sticks, and different stem activities for the students to enjoy. I included these items to support the students in the classroom throughout the entire way. These items will improve students' stem abilities, provide team building opportunities, while also promoting a calm and safe learning environment. Thank you!
