My Students

Childhood happens once! Don't let it pass by! Our new transitional kindergarten program allows our younger students the luxury of spending two years in kindergarten to lay the foundations for learning for life. Our TK and K students need fun, exciting materials to support their early days in school.

I work with a wonderful group of kindergarten and transitional kindergarten students.

They are enthusiastic, energetic and eager to learn. They live in a diverse urban area and come to school with a variety of experiences, needs and abilities. I would like to ensure that all the TK students thrive in their first year of kindergarten, learning with exciting hands-on materials.

My Project

With these materials I will be able to set up successful centers where the students will be learning through a variety of hands-on manipulatives. I am asking for Lakeshore Instant Learning Centers in Language Arts, Math and Science. These learning centers will foster independence for learning, social skills will be learned and academic concepts will be introduced and practiced. We would also benefit from Lakeshore Storytelling kits to develop oral language and comprehension skills. Materials for an art center are also needed. A drying rack will ensure all students' work is organized. The additional art materials, like the number and letter sponges will develop fine motor skills as well as practice concepts in literacy and numeracy.

By donating to our project, you will be providing our students with opportunities learning a variety of skills and concepts through hands-on activities.

Make the early years for our students fun and meaningful. Together we can develop a love for lifelong learning!
