This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you know how hard it is to have music time, and all of the sudden you have to stop because the CD is scratched?

Our school is located in South Central Los Angeles CA.

It is a 100% Title I school. My students are mainly Latinos, whose families are working class. For most of my students this is their first time in school. They are so eager to learn, that I want to be able to provide them with a positive school experience.

My Project

We have a very old CD Player, and it doesn't work properly. It scratches the CD's. Since the beginning of the year I had to buy the same set of CD's twice, because the first set is ruined. I know that with the iPod couldn't have a problem. My students will be able to listen to the pre-school music without any interruptions. Please help us make our dream come true.

The iPod I have requested will help my students listen to our morning chants, number songs, days of the week songs, months of the year songs with no interruptions.

It gets a bit frustrating trying to sing along when listening to a scratched CD.
