My Project

My students participate in hands-on employability skills training in the community in preparation for future employment. My students are hard-working special needs young adults who are focused on learning in hopes of gaining paid employment at the end of the school year.

Help me give my students incentives to build and support their future selves.

The students are able to receive gift cards when they complete transitional goals for post-secondary career, educational and living goals.

The gift cards that I am requesting for my project will be used as incentives when my students complete a transitional goal. Overall my students are transitioning from high school to the real world and they take small steps to grow their future selves. They are learning financial literacy, building a resume, budgeting, and interviewing skills that are all needed in the workforce. They do all this while volunteering in an actual community business.
