Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever surprised yourself? You know, did something that seemed impossible?

If you have then you are a lot like my students.

E-T is a majority-minority middle school, and everyone receives free lunch. A lot of my students feel they are bad at math. However, with engaging lessons and hands-on activities, they find math is all around them. Yes, they too surprise themselves! My scholars make me proud and defy the odds everyday. I want to help them continue surprising themselves.

My Project

Smartboards are common place in the 2019 classroom. However, without access and little room for setup, my classroom lacks this technology. As an alternative to this, a device called GoTouch will help turn my boring whiteboard space into an interactive experience for my students at a fraction of the cost.

I am seeking funding for this technology in order to give to my students a more engaging classroom experience.

This technology has been chosen with the students mind, creating both an engaging and collaborative environment. This best way to learn math is by doing it, and my hope is that technology with help encourage that.
