Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our diverse classroom celebrates students from various backgrounds, including many English Language Learners (ELLs) and newcomers from different countries. This year, I have several Level 1 students whose first language is not English and who need to learn the language in engaging and effective ways. As a Title I school with limited resources, it’s essential to provide tools that support their unique learning needs.

I am seeking support for a Kindle Scribe to improve the reading and writing experience in our classroom.

This innovative tool will provide my students with access to a wealth of digital books, interactive notes, and personalized learning resources.

In small group settings, the Kindle Scribe will enable targeted reading support. Students can work collaboratively on assignments, share insights, and engage in discussions about their readings, all while using a modern technology tool. This hands-on experience fosters teamwork and builds confidence in using technology effectively.

Additionally, the Kindle Scribe serves as a fantastic incentive for students. By incorporating it into our reading programs, students will be motivated to reach their reading goals and explore a wider range of literature. The ability to access diverse genres and subjects will spark their curiosity and help cultivate a lifelong love of reading.
