My Students

I have the privilege of working with students in multiple grade levels at this hidden gem in Henderson, NV. Our students are kind, hard working, inquisitive scholars who live up to the school's mascot: the shining stars! I am so fortunate to get to work across multiple grades.

My Project

I am requesting materials for my students to use in classroom transformations. I have requested a variety of materials to cover so many magical experiences: a glow transformation, safari to learn about animals, a pizzeria to practice fractions, construction materials to dig deep into math measurements and more!

These materials will be shared among grade levels, so that all students at my school are able to experience classroom transformations!

Because these materials serve as the "backbone" for multiple transformations, they can be used by multiple grade levels and address a variety of standards! For example, Kindergarten students can learn about pizza and fractions with one half, fourths, and thirds when using the pizza materials, but third grade will go up to eighths. When researching about safari animals, this looks different across grade levels but is all supported by W.8 research standards. For construction, third graders can work on area and perimeter (MD) while fifth graders can apply the same materials for work with volume while first graders can build numbers to 100.

A vast majority of the materials will be able to be used over and over again! These materials will be loved by over 500 kids! Thank you for supporting our school.
