Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I love my 1st grade students for their boundless curiosity, enthusiasm for learning, and unique perspectives that they bring to the classroom every day. Each child’s excitement and eagerness to explore new concepts inspire me to create an environment where they can thrive.

The specific items we are requesting, classroom rugs and flexible seating, will significantly enhance their learning experience.

The classroom rugs will provide a comfortable, inviting space for group activities, storytime, and collaborative learning. Flexible seating options will allow students to choose their preferred seating arrangements, promoting comfort and concentration, and catering to different learning styles.

My goals for this project are to create a welcoming and adaptable learning environment that fosters engagement, collaboration, and a love for learning. These resources will help students feel more comfortable and involved in their educational journey, making each day in the classroom an exciting adventure.

What makes my students special is their incredible diversity, their kindness towards one another, and their unwavering determination to learn and grow. They are a wonderful group of young learners who deserve the best possible environment to support their educational endeavors.
