This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Flexible seating empowers students to learn in positions that suit them best, promoting increased focus and engagement. Currently, my students are using hard plastic chairs that are over 20 years old. These chairs are uncomfortable, too large for their bodies, and fail to provide a safe and supportive learning environment.

The chosen flexible seating chairs will offer students the freedom to move comfortably while studying, enhancing productivity and attentiveness.

This approach not only encourages better communication and critical thinking skills but also helps students to grasp concepts in smaller, more manageable increments. By reducing feelings of frustration and anxiety, flexible seating supports continuous learning and the assimilation of new ideas based on previously acquired knowledge and skills.
