Why shouldn't my students have the best? I teach Special education students, grades sixth, seventh, and eight grade. Each class is self-contained consisting of 12 students. I teach in a very high-need community. Over seventy percent of students in my school receive free lunch. I am a certified special education teacher and only work with special education students.

My students should not be forgotten. I track down administrators in my school to receive needed materials for my students. My students need their lessons to be differentiated each and every day. Catching their attention is more than half the battle. My students deserve a projector. They need a projector in order to transform this classroom into a working classroom.

I need a projector for my classroom in order to captivate my students and make this classroom feel like any other classroom in the building. My students will see, create, and organize their own essays. Visual aids encourage students to retain information and participate in classroom discussions. A projector will display a variety of information from many different sources from video to student work. This tool will be a huge benefit to their environment.

You can make a difference!! The students that I teach may be your future leaders. Their success starts in school. It starts with a teacher who cares enough to make a difference everyday in any way possible. It is within your power to make a change. These students deserve this, and you can make it happen. You can turn this classroom into a classroom that welcomes students and keeps them interested. Learning can be filled with excitement and curiosity. Children are naturally curious and as adults and educators it is our job to encourage them to ask questions, understand content, and concepts. Through your efforts this is possible.
