Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from the inner city. We are a title one school, which means that 98% of our children are on free and reduced lunch. The majority of my students are ESOL, so English is not their first language. I also have some ESE (exceptional student education), which means they learn better visually and by doing.

They are so eager to learn and my philosophy this year is to teach, transform, and touch their future.

They have no access to technology outside of the classroom, so it is very important that I make it available while they are with me.

My Project

The Chromebooks will make a difference in my students learning by empowering them to do better in class. Students will use the Chromebook to improve their understanding of grade level skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division through the use of programs like iReady and Reflex Math.

Within science and math class, my students will be able to connect to the digital era.

They can use the Chromebooks to explore the world around them while conducting research projects. The Chromebooks will truly be a tool in which students will use to transform their education and touch their future.
