My Project

A new trading card game club was started in November and we're collecting the materials that will help the club be successful. Not only will they help us be organized with playing Lorcana, all of the materials can also be used for other TCGs in the guture.

The trading card game club is comprised of twelve 5th graders who love playing strategic card games.

While learning Lorcana, they have begun to demonstrate great critical thinking skills and the ability to use strategies to succeed in games.

At this moment, we are using paper mats to organize individual games in our tournaments. New mats would make the games look more official, allow cards to move more easily, and identify each player's area. The life counters that are being used have the possibility of being bumped off of the board and interrupting the game. The life counters in this project allow the lore points to be monitored separately from the board.

As students become more comfortable with our current game, Lorcana, they will be designing their own playing decks. In order to keep all of our materials in good condition, it is important to put the cards into colored sleeves. The cards will last longer and stay in better condition.
