My Students

My class of approximately 12 6th-8th graders, in an Autistic Support classroom, are like my family. We have gotten to know each other throughout our years together and we’ve been through good and bad times together. Every student in my class looks forward to coming to school, whether it’s in person or virtually as they all feel welcome, safe and respected. I work at a Title 1 school in Philadelphia where all students qualify for free breakfast and lunch.

My Project

The TPT giftcards will be able to help fund digital activities that my Autistic Support Class will be able to use in person or digitally. No matter where we are learning from, it is important for my students to learn life skills needed to live and work independently one day. With these activities, my students will be able to learn and practice skills needed for jobs such as interview skills, job etiquette, sorting objects in a store, making the correct restaurant order, etc. They will love using these interactive activities that will be provided through the TPT giftcards.
