My Project
At our Title I public school, we value the importance of literacy and literature towards developing the literate leaders of tomorrow. As a Kindergarten teacher servicing a predominately Black and Latinx student population with many of my students possessing an IEP, I'm trying my very best to make sure that my oncoming scholars have everything that they need to be successful throughout their academic journey. This year I will be receiving more scholars with autism and ADD within my classroom.
To meet the unique learning needs of my students with IEPs, I am trying to acquire more sensory-based literacy and mathematic activities to support their attainment of content materials.
I will be utilizing these materials to provide differentiated instruction regarding letter recognition, building and decoding CVC words, and number recognition.
So, please support my classroom in acquiring these sensory learning materials!
