My Students

I have the opportunity to serve as both a teacher and a coach working hard on the development and empowerment of our students to ensure they excel in academia, develop life skills and values, and become well-rounded, productive citizens -- while having some fun in the meantime.

My Project

Throughout my career I've worked to ensure curriculum is engaging, hands-on, and collaborative. Our current environment shifts this focus, and I'd love your help to ensure my classroom remains a place that is still engaging, hands-on, and collaborative while ensuring we stay safe and exceed our COVID-19 guidelines.

The goal of my project is to create a learning environment that will minimize and hopefully prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the classroom while ensuring we maintain multimedia, engaging lessons.

Touchless hand sanitizer dispensers will reduce the spread of bacteria and viruses, and an air purifier will ensure the air we breathe is free from germs. The tools we use daily - like pencil sharpeners, staplers, and hole-punchers, should be electronic to reduce transmission. A UV light box will allow for quick, effective sanitation of classroom tools that may be used from class to class.

Using multimedia lessons with the help of classroom speakers and engaging lessons from Teachers Pay Teachers, will allow me to continue to engage students in enrichment while socially distanced -- and will help me prepare lessons in the event of distance learning.

Ensuring I'm armed with the professional development resources, and our classroom has the supplies and tools will be necessary to succeed this year. Our classroom will also need to transition from a collaborative, hands-on room to individual, engaging, and as touch-free as possible. My students and I appreciate any help you can provide to reach this goal!
