Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kindergarten is where learning and fun happens. In kindergarten students are building the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Students learn foundational skills for reading and by the end of the year, they have picked up this skill and are reading. In math, students are setting the foundation to become proficient math students. There is so much learning and growth in kindergarten, it is a pleasure to be a part of this developmental growth.

My school is an ethnically diverse school with students from all over our community.

Many of my students come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds.

My Project

My kindergarten students love to play games and get as many hands-on learning experiences as they possibly can. As their teacher, I strive to do this multiple times every day. With the use of these hands-on, engaging and interactive simple word-building games my students will get just that.

Every day my students will have a chance to build their skills in building and making simple words as their gain confidence in themselves and strive to be fluent readers.

As the students work together learning during centers, they will continue to engage their own minds and encourage their peers to continue to meet and surpass their goals.
