Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students enjoy learning through hands-on activities and the use of manipulative that allow them to learn while they get to investigate, create, explore and complete hands-on activities. Access to manipulatives for students is an essential tool for many students, especially those that are tactile learners.

When small group/center time or even individual desk time arrives during math, my students really enjoy the opportunity to pick a favorite manipulative to use.

My Project

These manipulatives will help my students improve math skills. Using these hands-on materials will help my students gain, improve and show confidence in their math skills. We have been out of class for almost 2 years and students need a great deal of hands-on practice. Students will now have their own sets and won't have to worry about spreading germs during this still very active COVID-19 time. I want to welcome all my students back and let them know they are safe to work and touch all manipulatives.
