Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are comprised of five pre-kindergarten boys and five girls, totaling ten students in all. Their ages range from 3 to 5 years old. They are inner-city urban youth who mostly come from single-parent low-income backgrounds. Despite this environmental obstacle, they are smart, creative, loving, and extremely motivated learners. The children in my classroom are like family. They show kindness and empathy towards each other daily. They are very curious, opinionated, outspoken, and are higher-level learners. It is a joy to work with them.

The world of technology is the only world they know!

If you provide my students with tablets and covers you will enable them to explore a "wealth" of knowledge, literally at their fingertips. The tablets will allow my students to engage individually or with other classmates on an adventure of educational exploration. The headphones will allow the children to work individually among their classmates.
