My Students

This upcoming school year, I will be teaching a diverse population of second graders, many of which are English Language Learners. I am very excited to meet each and every one of my students. Despite present circumstances, I am confident that we will have a year filled with unlimited learning experiences and fun!

My Project

My students bring home a number of books from our classroom library every week. In the past, students have been provided with gallon-sized Ziploc bags to store their books. Unfortunately, these Ziploc bags are not very durable and do not last students long. At times, students misplace their plastic bags and throw their books in their book bags. This causes pages to rip, spills to occur, and ultimately leads to books not getting returned.

The cloth tote bags I am requesting would help keep our classroom library protected and give students a fun way to bring their books to and from school.

With these cloth tote bags, students and parents will be able to track and protect the books in our classroom library and prevent me from having to rebuild our library each school year. I appreciate any amount you are able to donate. Thank you in advance for your generous contributions!
