Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

No snoozing allowed in this classroom! I need to find a way to improve total engagement by all students in my class. We need a class set of interactive white boards to encourage each child to supply an answer when a problem is presented and to allow me to monitor their understanding of the topic.

My school is located in central California in a rural farming community.

It is the only elementary school in the unincorporated community. Many children in my class are second language learners and come from migrant farm working parents. My students love school and are motivated to learn. They are always thankful for new learning tools.

My Project

I am requesting individual dry erase boards and dry erase markers for my students. This will be a great resource to encourage each child to show what they know instead of the traditional method of calling on one child at a time to share. It will also allow me to monitor their understanding and pace my lessons appropriately.

The exciting thing about each child having their own dry erase board and marker is that they will be able to keep them in their desks for use throughout the day.

These tools can be used in every subject. I am thrilled that I will have a better grasp of who has it and who needs more of my attention.
