My Students

These Special Education Middle school students come from low social-economic backgrounds, inner-city living conditions, are African American or other minority groups. Many of them come from multi-generational families, with many siblings attending the school as well as their parents having previously attended the school. There is a real sense of community at this school. This year we were rated as B school by the Florida Department of Education, but only 4 points shy of becoming an A school. With your donations to our students, they are sure to become great thinkers, feelers, and doers in today's society. Additionally, they will be more organized, tech-savvy, ready, and enabled to take on the world.

My Project

These materials will help students with their academics both in the classroom and online to complete their work. The pencils and erasers and sharpers are always needed by our low-income students. The headphones ensure that they can hear and be provided with intervention for reading and math without anyone or thing disturbing their learning. These tools for success are crucial to make sure that our students are given the same advantages as any other student. By contributing to their success these students are sure to be the future leaders of the world.
