My Students

My students are wonderful children who are in need of love and affection. My goal is to help our students be confident in their learning and my passion for teaching them. Many of our students live in poverty. 93.4% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch.

Our goal is to be sure they feel loved and supported when they are at school and provide them with a safe and comfortable environment for learning.

Our students truly appreciate when others donate materials and believe in them. Thank you in advance.

My Project

I am asking for your help in funding materials in the classroom to improve students reading skills. These tools are specifically focused on their learning of sight words. Sight words are words that are words students need to know by sight rather than sounding out each letter or blend. This can be a difficult skill for many of our students. With your help in funding these materials, students will have the opportunity to make a sometimes frustrating skill more enjoyable. For example, the word building blocks and the magnetic charts will give students the ability to work hands-on in building their sight words. I have chosen some games and hands-on materials that will engage students and motivate them to continue to practice these reading skills daily.
