My Students

At our our school, we believe in using technology to help facilitate learning, by helping students access a wealth of information and introducing them to a wide variety of resources that can help them reach their personal and academic goals.

We believe that quality physical education is a vital part of every child’s academic day, and as such, we strive to provide age appropriate movement opportunities, and to teach students the importance of a physically active lifestyle.

In addition to providing unit instruction designed to elevate the heart rate and enhance motor skill development, we use technology to help students focus on individual performance, improvement, and accountability. When students leave our program they have been exposed to a variety of movement skills, are familiar with fitness-based technology, and possess an understanding of how to maintain an active lifestyle both in and out of school.

My Project

We pride ourselves on our ability to provide a Physical Education program that focuses on individual improvement over time. Technology allows students to take an active role in their learning, making it possible for us to personalize the experience to meet every child's unique needs

With decreased funding to Physical Education programs, access to technology that will accommodate class sizes with 45-50 students, is limited.

The purchase of three iPad mini tablets will allow our students to work collaboratively to record and evaluate their performance in class, while minimizing wait time and maximizing movement opportunities.

In addition to recording progress throughout the year, iPad mini tablets will allow us to incorporate Physical Education apps that help us evaluate motor skills as they are performed, quickly make groups for team activities, monitor and control interval times during group fitness instruction, as well capture accurate timed performances on speed and agility tasks, similar to timing systems used in running events and track and field competitions.

Your donations will make it possible for students to use the same technology traditionally used in their classrooms, and apply it in a Physical Education setting.
