it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Let me introduce to you a school that is also known as the hidden Jewel in Michigan! We've got students that come from almost every corner of the world. English as a Second Language is the first class for some and the most rewarding class being taught! I'm always creating worksheets and books with my students but sometimes due to broken-down copiers some assignments cannot be completed!
All professions need certain tools in order to do there jobs appropriately. An artist uses vivid color to paint and a policemen drives a car to protect our neighborhoods. Teachers need copiers not only to print daily assignments but also to make wonderful art that can reach non-verbal children and teach them how to speak.
Making comic books can inspire an emerging ESL learner to spread his or hers artistic wings. They will learn to construct and understand the structure of the English language at their own pace. Reading aloud published work will instill a confidence to teach themselves to self correct their own grammatical errors. Constructing comic books is a great role model for demonstrating parts of a story, defining characters, recognize setting, and coming up with some crazy plots and far-out solutions. Showing my students what the power of words can do for written text helps them develop an incredible eye for detail on their own writing. After a few months my shy students are no longer shy but are then replaced with imaginative artist and engaging authors.
Your generous donation will make it possible to discover the sacred art of bookmaking and assist them to flourish as writers. Many students will learn to overcome the obstacles of relearning valuable writing skills in their second language but influence respect to maintain their first.
