My Project

My students are intelligent and thoughtful, but struggle when it comes to getting their thoughts on paper. Next school year I want to turn my English classes into classes that are more writing focused, rather than literature focused. I want them to learn to read as writers and write as readers.

These composition notebooks, pens, and pencils will give students the tools they need to take the steps into owning their written word.

Through this project and these tools, I want to teach my students how powerful they can be with their own writing and how writing can be so much more than just an essay. These notebooks will only be the start of their writer voices to see how far their written word can take them.
