My Students

As a professional educator, I find it unfathomable that teachers do not have the tools to allow them to be successful. As educators, we need to make due with outdated materials. We are asked to prepare our students for their future but we are using the tools of the past. It is time for an upgrade.

Currently, I am continuing my professional development with university online courses.

With my program, I am asked to use PowerPoint to make presentations, utilize online software (such as Blackboard and ClassPro Webinars), create google documents that are placed in drop-boxes for collaboration with other educators. With an up-to-date MacBook Pro I will have the ability and capacity of memory needed to run these programs that will assist me in my professional development as I further my career. I will be able to utilize my time more efficiently without having to worry about memory loss or out-dated processing that I currently deal with. I am confident with this new technology, my professional development will soar to the capacity currently available.

My Project

As an educator, I am able to continue learning through district programs and university classes. I have participated in many professional development courses this past year and continue to strive to increase my knowledge and abilities as a teacher. I am constantly challenged because of the lack of funds available to have the newest and most up-to-date technology. The MacPro will allow me to continue my professional development courses with the power and optimal abilities of the most current technology.

As a teacher, I believe I can achieve great things with the right materials.

All professionals need the right tools in order to get the job done. My job is no exception. With donations towards this project, I will able to take my professional development to the 21st century and prepare my students for their future.
