My Students

Imagine walking into a school and seeing students' faces light up like they just won a trip to Disney. Well, this is definitely the reaction that you would see from my students.

Many of our children live a very stressful life.

Imagine how they are feeling during this pandemic. Our school is Title I and all students receive free breakfast and lunch. The age range is from 4 to 11 years old. It is a shame that at such an early age, they have to see and witness so much loss.

My Project

Due to COVID-19, our computer technology lab was depleted. As we approach a full calendar year of not having any computers within our building, it has made my job beyond challenging.

I try to do my best to teach all students that have all been "touched" in some way during this pandemic.

As you already know children learn best based on their own learning style. I am asking for a document camera to help children grasp concepts visually. Having a document camera will also help in regards to time. I will be able to share information quickly. Our students have already lost out on so much, and waiting for things to load shouldn't be a factor.

I am also asking for an updated iPad for instruction. During the pandemic all the computer lab ThinkPad's were depleted. We were very lucky to get funded for a few iPads for our class. However, being that more students will be coming back into the building, we must make sure every student has their own to use. Safety comes first!!!

I would be grateful for any donation. This would allow all students to participate during their computer technology prep time.
