Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My new students are expected to be 12 second grade students in a self-contained Special Education classroom. They will be learning with a hybrid plan where they will be in the classroom 2 - 3 times a week and learning remotely the other days. They will be welcomed with an inviting, organized, and safe room with individual areas properly spaced out for fun and engaging learning.

They will be my ‘shining stars’ who will come to school eager to ‘brighten’ their days and 'soar' with exciting learning opportunities.

Students will be challenged with new routines and will be given a caring environment where they can be their best selves.

My Project

My students are in a Title I school in a very low-income urban neighborhood. Funding for supplies was not in the budget this year. In class and remote learning is expected. Please help provide some tools for instruction that they can use in class and at home. The materials requested will help me set up a pleasant and welcoming teaching environment that will help the students receive valuable and engaging learning. Sensory items will help them keep calm when stressful situations distract them from being focused. Help my stars shine brightly!
