Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the pleasure of guiding students from grade k-5 through their academic endeavors at a culturally diverse school in Queens, NY. As a Teacher of Speech Improvement, I work with amazing students who have a variety of strengths. Many of my students are bilingual or have some emerging English language skills as well.

I help children find their voice and communicate their needs.

My student are hard workers who don't let their speech or language difficulties hinder their potential. We work on using a positive environment for growing and succeeding in the academic world.

My Project

The laminating supplies will assist in making my students feel proud of their work. We will be able to create covers for our writing pieces and proudly display them.

As a school based therapist, the Scotch Pro Thermal laminator is an essential tool for creating individualized visual supports and materials to meet my students' needs.

Laminating will make the materials and visual supports durable so that students can use them consistently during sessions. From visual schedules to word banks, these laminating supplies will be put to great use to assist me entire caseload of students! My students will appreciate having such a useful tool to keep their materials durable!
