Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students consist of inner city children that come from low-income families, and some are even homeless. As a teacher in an urban district, I work with four and five-year-old students ranging in levels of development. I have several students with special needs (IEPs) that are currently mainstreamed into my general education classroom. One student in particular currently has a personal aide to help support her in her daily school-related tasks.

My student population consists of inner-city children mainly coming from low-income​ families.

We are a dual-language school where students learn English and Spanish. We are proud to be a national school of character!

My Project

our district has opted to begin the school year remotely. The tools I am requesting for this project, allow me to teach a variety of skills to my students remotely.

The wipe off boards, draw/erase markers, and chart paper will allow me to create interactive morning messages, vocabulary words to correspond with reading lessons, as well as teach students numbers, letters, shapes and so much more!

The rain sticks will be a soothing transition item that I think my young learners will really enjoy. These materials will allow me to personalize instruction for my students according to their needs. I am also requesting a birthday chart bulletin board because even though we are teaching remotely, it's important to acknowledge each child on their special day. These materials are essential both in the classroom as well as for remote learning. Thank you in advance for your donations towards this project, they are immensely appreciated!
